Chair Yoga
This class is a gentle form of yoga. You will practice yoga sitting in a chair or standing using the chair for support. Complicated maneuvers and complex movements are NOT present in this class. The chair is used due to the difficulty in getting down and up off the floor. You will learn many yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and ways of relaxation with the aid of a chair.

Restorative Yoga
This class is designed to help you learn to relax and release areas of tension held in the body that cause stress. During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited, and a few of the measurable results of relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure and the improvement of immune function, as well as improvement in digestion, fertility, elimination and the reduction of muscle tension and generalized fatigue. Come experience the art of relaxation. You will feel rejuvenated and renewed during and after each and every class! All levels welcome. LYB FRIENDLY CLASS
Yin Yoga
Practicing surrender and receptivity. Slow it down for a nourishing and spacious practice. The intention of Yin Yoga is to safely and appropriately stress the connective tissue (ligaments, fascia and sometimes tendons) in the body rather then the muscles and cardiovascular system. Poses are held for at least 3 minutes to give the muscles a chance to relax allowing you to go deeper. This class is open to all levels and is a great compliment to a more active practice. Gentle/Yoga Nidra
Take this time to give back to your body. Allow yourself to gently move and breathe in the body you're in today. This class is great for beginners as well as regular practitioners looking to unwind and relax. The second half of class will be Yoga Nidra, a guided healing relaxation practiced while lying on the floor in savasana to quiet the mind and find peace in your body. Beginner
Discover your body in this class! You will be amazed how your body works and what it can do! If you're a beginner or a more advanced student looking to get back to basics, give this class a try. Take advantage of a more intimate environment and focus on proper alignment and breathing techniques. All levels are welcome!
Mixed Level
This class offers you a strong practice with a wider variety of poses. It is especially for those with some yoga experience through intermediate. This class focuses on the alignment of the postures and the opening of the heart. It is designed to allow your body to slow down and focus on technique. Open your body and mind in this powerful class.
Warm Gentle Yoga/Warm Yoga Stretch/ Warm Yin
These classes are held in our small studio space under radiant heaters that feel like the warmth of the sun shining down.
Enjoy slower moving classes offering a variety of poses - Gentle Yoga and Yoga Stretch including seated, standing and reclined, while Yin is done all on the floor with the support of props. Temperature of the room will be between 85-90 degrees to allow your body to open and receive the practice in a new way.
Slow Flow
This is a well-balanced yet strong and uplifting class. Discover your strength as you stretch deeper and hold poses a little longer. Enjoy moving in your body with grace and ease. This class is the perfect compliment to what you do; walk, run, bike, hike, swim, ski...the list goes on. Find harmony in your body and in your life.
Flow
Experience your body in this class! This class features a flowing vinyasa sequence partnered with breath awareness, meditation, hands-on alignment, and relaxation. You will expand your strength, stamina and flexibility. Yoga poses are never ending. You will enrich your current foundation and grow in your postures, mind and heart. This is the perfect transition from Beginner!
Ashtanga Inspired
This class is a vinyasa style practice that follows a set series of poses. The asanas are arranged in the traditional sequence, as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. It is designed to be physically challenging. It will strengthen and tone, increase endurance and flexibility and enhance your balance. If you are looking for an athletic yoga class, this is the one for you!
Kids and Teens
These classes explore postures as well as issues relevant to elementary, middle school, junior high and high school students. Since stress can play a considerable role in the lives of children, these classes emphasize the importance of being happy with the person you are today! Spirited class discussions on issues critical to the age group like the cruelty of gossip, bullying and how to have compassion for others are part of what makes these classes so valuable.
Pre-Natal
Through the use of props and a wide spectrum of asanas adapted for the ever-changing pregnant body, Alluem Yoga’s pre-natal yoga class enables the pregnant yogini to safely practice sun salutations, standing poses, balances and forward bends. Emphasizing breathing along with stretching and strengthening the body, these classes are empowering for pregnant women. This class is designed to help you with concentration and endurance in labor and delivery. Make friends and develop your own yoga community with your fellow expecting mothers. Then continue your yoga practice together after giving birth.
Meditation
Quiet your mind through conscious relaxation. Reduce stress and anxiety through meditation. Rid yourself of negative energy. A variety of mental disciplines - including visualizations, mindfulness, mantra, pranayama, progressive muscle relaxation, yoga nidra, and more - will be guided by an instructor to let go and achieve more balance in your life.
