This class is a gentle form of yoga. You will practice yoga sitting in a chair or standing using the chair for support. Complicated maneuvers and complex movements are NOT present in this class. The chair is used due to the difficulty in getting down and up off the floor. You will learn many yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and ways of relaxation with the aid of a chair.
LYB FRIENDLY CLASS
This class is designed to help you learn to relax and release areas of tension held in the body that cause stress. During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited, and a few of the measurable results of relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure and the improvement of immune function, as well as improvement in digestion, fertility, elimination and the reduction of muscle tension and generalized fatigue. Practicing surrender and receptivity. Slow it down for a nourishing and spacious practice. The intention of Yin Yoga is to safely and appropriately stress the connective tissue (ligaments, fascia and sometimes tendons) in the body rather then the muscles and cardiovascular system. Poses are held for at least 3 minutes to give the muscles a chance to relax allowing you to go deeper. This class is open to all levels and is a great compliment to a more active practice. Take this time to give back to your body. Allow yourself to gently move and breathe in the body you're in today. This class is great for beginners as well as regular practitioners looking to unwind and relax. The second half of class will be Yoga Nidra, a guided healing relaxation practiced while lying on the floor in savasana to quiet the mind and find peace in your body. Align and Refine
This foundations class is designed for both the Beginner and experienced practitioner who wants to enhance their practice.
We will explore the alignment and refinements of the foundational yoga poses that include standing, simple balances, seated, prone and supine. This class will use props and modify poses to maximize their benefits. This full body experience includes breathing and mindful movement to nourish your practice and personal growth.

Experience your body in this class! This class features a flowing vinyasa sequence partnered with breath awareness, meditation, hands-on alignment, and relaxation. You will expand your strength, stamina and flexibility. Yoga poses are never ending. You will enrich your current foundation and grow in your postures, mind and heart. This class is a vinyasa style practice that follows a set series of poses. The asanas are arranged in the traditional sequence, as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. It is designed to be physically challenging. It will strengthen and tone, increase endurance and flexibility and enhance your balance. If you are looking for an athletic yoga class, this is the one for you!
Kids and Teens
These classes explore postures as well as issues relevant to elementary, middle school, junior high and high school students. Since stress can play a considerable role in the lives of children, these classes emphasize the importance of being happy with the person you are today! Spirited class discussions on issues critical to the age group like the cruelty of gossip, bullying and how to have compassion for others are part of what makes these classes so valuable.
Through the use of props and a wide spectrum of asanas adapted for the ever-changing pregnant body, Alluem Yoga’s pre-natal yoga class enables the pregnant yogini to safely practice sun salutations, standing poses, balances and forward bends. Emphasizing breathing along with stretching and strengthening the body, these classes are empowering for pregnant women. This class is designed to help you with concentration and endurance in labor and delivery. Make friends and develop your own yoga community with your fellow expecting mothers. Then continue your yoga practice together after giving birth.

Love Your Brain Fundamental Series
If you have experienced a TBI (including concussion) or are a caregiver or support person, we invite you to join our yoga community! Through this program, we hope you discover your inner resources for learning, growing, healing, and thriving. Experience gentle yoga to improve strength and balance and meditation practices to reduce stress. Class themes will foster resilience and compassion. To create a culture of shared experiences related to TBI, our program is only open to the TBI community at this time. TBI is caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head, or penetrating head injury. If you have another type of brain injury (e.g., stroke, anoxia, tumor) we'll do our best to refer you to another program that can meet your needs. Coming January 2022!
